Welcome!
Here you will find a variety of unique and One of a Kind, Sci-fi and Fantasy artworks.
We also have a section of unique functional pottery ~ mundane, but fun ~ things we find useful and different. We do accept commissions, please contact us for details.
Our art work has been on display in a variety of Art Shows around the country: LACon IV - World Science Fiction Convention, DragonCon Art Show 2007, ComicCon Art Show in 2007, LunaCon, PhilCon and Arisia
The Artists:
| | Tom Kastan ~ Tom has been a potter for over 15 years. He has enjoyed making the more unusual types of art. His favorite method is Raku. Most of his rocket ships are made this way and the form and technique blend to create what I'm sure you will agree is a marvel to behold. You can find his available rockets under Browse/ Rocketships. Or visit the Space Gallery for more photos.
Having been a fan of Flash Gordon forever... several years ago he started 'seeing' ray guns in a variety of everyday objects. This has led to a new obsession with creating his One of a Kind mixed media Ray Guns. Photos are in the Space Gallery and available ones are in the Browse section under Ray Guns.

Julie Kastan ~ Julie started working with clay after meeting and marrying Tom in 1995. She creates in a variety of mediums ~ but the over-all theme is Dragons. In her world, Dragons can move in and out of the vases she creates ~ she 'captures' them at a moment in time. Some are Raku, others are in stoneware or porcelain. You will find examples in the Gallery or under Browse/Dragon Vases. This vase was sold at the LAConIV Art Show (2006 World Science Fiction Convention).
She also loves making one of a kind polymer sculpts of dragons - these vary more in style than the ceramic dragons do. Most of them are baby dragons hatching from their shells. You can find these in the Dragon Gallery or by clicking on the Browse button ~ Dragons Creche.
One of the side effects of being around so many dragons is that they really like pretty stones and jewels - so she has had to create some jewelry to appease them. These are available via Browse/Dragon Stone Jewelry.

| | Stephanie Kastan ~ Stephanie is our very talented daughter and although she may not have any items available, she is a terrific 11 year old artist. Recently, at DragonCon she won first place in a comic quick draw contest in the under 18 yrs catagory. She has been drawing since she was two and rarely does a day pass that she hasn't created some great drawing. Getting her to show them is another story...
Hopefully, we will be allowed to display her work in her own - Steph's Gallery soon.
Here she is in her self-designed Dragon Girl costume that she proudly displays in the main hotel at DragonCon in 2007.
She also won a Presentation Award, Best in Class for Young Fans at the Masquarade at NoreasCon 2004 for her Death of Rats goes to WorldCon costume. Julie received a Workmanship Award, Best construction for the paper mache' work on the rat. Click here see photo.
